
Dr Ravi Morisetty joined Forrest Road GP in February 2015, bringing a wealth of international experience and knowledge to our medical centre and the Armadale community.
Dr Morisetty graduated in medicine in 1998 and has worked in various hospitals and practices in India, England and Scotland. He has undertaken placements in psychiatry and mental health, trauma and emergency medicine, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology to name a few. He has been involved in teaching students from various university medical schools, an experience he enjoys and hopes to continue.
He is passionate about all areas of family practice and primary care, with special interests and added training in orthopaedics and sports medicine, surgery, reproductive health, paediatrics and skin cancer screening.
When asked what he loves the most about being a family doctor in Armadale, Dr Morisetty says, “I enjoy working in the Armadale community because it reminds me of ‘Annan’ a town in Scotland where I did my GP training. I enjoy the variety of patients I see and it is very satisfying to be able to provide the continuity of care for my patients.”
He is happily married with two young boys and plays cricket and badminton in his spare time. He is looking forward to continuing his relationship with the Armadale community and providing his patients with the best of care.

Dr Ovidiu Merlas is a Perth-based General Practitioner with training and clinical experience across both the United Kingdom and Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has worked at Forrest Road GP since 2016. He provides comprehensive general practice care, with particular interests in complex chronic disease management, skin cancer care, and minor procedures (including skin checks and excisions).
Dr Merlas is also actively involved in medical education. He is an RACGP-accredited GP medical educator and examiner, and teaches and examines for Australian medical schools. He enjoys teaching and mentoring GP registrars and medical students, with an emphasis on safe clinical reasoning, clear communication, and practical decision-making.
He has a strong interest in health informatics and using technology to improve clinical workflow and reduce administrative burden – supporting efficient, high-quality patient care.
Outside of work, he enjoys family time, staying active, DIY projects, and technology.

Dr Mizanur Rahman graduated from Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital in Bangladesh with Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery in 1998. He worked in various positions and department including haematology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, psychiatry, Accident and Emergency.
Dr Rahman also trained in Dusseldorf University Hospital in Germany and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA.
He enjoys clinical diagnostic challenges in the community setting, comprehensive health care that is offered in a GP setting.
His outside interests include reading, writing, travel, photography, astronomy and spending time with his family.
Dr Rahman is fluent in English and Bengali.

Dr Waller is an Australian trained doctor.
Dr Waller has worked at various places including Armadale Hospital for many years gaining extensive experience before moving to Forrest Road GP, Armadale. He loves his work in the community providing comprehensive health care to people of all age groups. His professional interests include but are not limited to Men’s Health, Family Medicine and Mental Health.
Dr Waller has lived in the City of Armadale for 20 years and has been involved in a variety of community groups.
For many years he has been involved in the Sport of Olympic Weightlifting, running his own club and coaching lifters to National and International Success – including Commonwealth Games Representation.
He has a long association with the Armadale Highland Gathering – managing the Heavy Events (Caber Toss etc.) for over 20 years. In recent years he has been instrumental in introducing women’s events at the Gathering. He still competes each year and enjoys regular visits to the Gym to prepare.
Dr Waller has a strong connection with local Fire Brigades – he previously worked on the front line with the Armadale Fire and Rescue Service attending Bush Fires, Property Fires and Motor Vehicle Accidents for over 15 years.
In his spare he like to visit the beach with his family and dogs and enjoys getting away for day trips or weekends in WA – especially to Country Towns holding annual shows or markets.
Dr Waller will be working:
Monday and Tuesdays 8am to 6pm,
Saturday on a roster.

Dr Arshad graduated from University of Health Sciences Lahore, Pakistan and she has worked at SJOG Midland Hospital, in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology, General Medicine and Paediatrics. She also has 8 years of experience working for a in Dermatology, Obstetrics &Gynaecology, General Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She enjoys cooking and reading in her spare time.
