Dr Shamjidha Meethal Peedika

Dr Shamjidha is a RACGP Registrar who has successfully completed Fellowship exams and is currently undertaking extended skills training. After completing undergraduate medical training in India, she has achieved AMC certification and has worked across several hospitals in Western Australia, including SJOG Midland, Mt Lawley, Murdoch, Fiona Stanley Hospital, and Rockingham Hospital. During this time, she has developed broad experience in general medicine, geriatrics, and emergency medicine.
Dr Shamjidha’s initial general practice training in the Wheatbelt has provided valuable exposure to a wide range of conditions and the opportunity to build meaningful connections within the local community, including caring for nursing home residents.
She is interested in chronic disease management, geriatrics, women’s health (including menopause and perimenopause) and mental health. She is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to each individual’s needs. Dr Shamjidha enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and supporting them through all stages of life and health.
